Capturing is big and intuitive, I didn't think of anything else myself, but I checked with AI out of curiosity given how unclear the position is. And it looks that capturing let's white force with S5 and O6 and then again with T6 and there's unpleasant aji in the corner (T2), not sure about life and death. That's why for AI R8 is best (that's the most severe white's forcing move if tenuki, probably vital point of this position).

Maybe worth adjusting this position a bit to make capturing D14 stone more meaningful? Currently the group in the corner is dead, both separated groups are either alive or they have where to go. Capturing the cutting stone is not the best move here.
